Metrocentre Fundraising

A great day of fundraising in the Metrocentre in Feb and an opportunity for some of the Riding Team to get some welcome miles completed albeit on the turbo trainers.

The Support Team made an excellent job of our first attempt at external fundraising, providing a great backdrop to the small cycling team.  We were able to raise the awareness of RAFA amongst the public and show that serving personnel are very much at the front foot when it comes to raising vital funds for RAFA.



We had some very kind help from the Manager and Staff of Nando's Restaurant - thankyou ladies!!



The kind people of the Metrocentre were keen to engage with our stand and the bikes drew a great deal of interest particularly from the kids - must be a carbon fibre thing!!  We managed to generate some £1300 from purchases of RAFA merchandise and personal donations, which was an excellent foundation for our fundraising target of £10,000.
